A Wine Tasting Fund Raiser to benefit the frail elderly was held at the Veterans of Foreign War Clubhouse across the street from the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary on Fruit Hill Ave. It was the first time that such an event was held to benefit the Fruit Hill Day Services

Friends and neighbors of the Day Care, staff, caregivers, and even some Participants attended the delightful affair.

There were many donations, not least of which were free use of the V.F.W. Club, the wines from Wayne Distributors and Johnson Brothers, beer from Narragansett Brewing Co., liquor baskets from Kingston Liquor Mart, a fruit arrangement from Edible Arrangements, a variety of hors d'oeuvres from different sources, two ice sculptures and service by students of Johnson & Wales.
