Final Profession of Nga Le, FMM

"I will pay my vows to the Lord in the presence of all His people." Ps. 116.14

Calling of the Candidate:

Mary: Responding to a call of God in her life, Nga Le wishes to offer herself to God forever through perpetual profession. I now invite Nga to come forward and make her request for perpetual profession.

Nga: With the help of God I have come to know in the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary the difficulty and joy of a life completely dedicated to God. Sr. Mary, I now ask to be allowed to make perpetual profession in the community of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary for the glory of God and the service of the Church.

People: Thanks be to God!



EXAMINATION
Mary: Nga, in baptism you have already died to sin and have been set aside for God's service. Are you now resolved to unite yourself more closely to God by the bond of perpetual profession?
Nga: I am.
Mary: Are you resolved, with the help of God, to undertake that life of perfect chastity, obedience and poverty chosen for itself by Christ our Lord and his Virgin Mother, and to persevere in it forever?
Nga: I am.
Mary: Are you resolved to strive steadfastly for perfection in the love of God and of your neighbor by living the Gospel with all your heart and keeping the Constitutions of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary?
Nga: I am.
Mary: Are you resolved, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to spend your whole life in the generous service of God's people?
Nga: I am.
Mary: May God who has begun the work in you bring it to fulfillment before the day of Christ Jesus.
All: Amen.
Celebrant: Dear friends in Christ, let us pray to God our Almighty Father who gives us everything that is good. May God's mercy strengthen Nga in the purpose the love of God has inspired in her.
