The rain was light and at times torrential when the soggy grounds of Fruit Hill greeted the Franciscan youth on their spring gathering.

Sr. Alma led the youth through a day that stressed reconciliation.
Victoria and Gina and others use wooden clothespins to make a cross with the figure of Jesus on it. They showed their pride in their creative ability as they laid them to dry. All of them came out beautiful.
Vanessa, Nicole, Victoria, To-Anh, fmm and Maria plant seeds in window boxes. All were excited and asked for some flowers of their labor once they had grown.
A video was presented with the story of the Prodigal Son in a modern format. The group then discussed the message behind the story and the meaning of being sorry. "Sorry chains" were made with links made by each person and given to each other. "I'm Sorry" or "Forgiven" and other words of reconciliation were written on the links.
