The young women considered religious life as one of many choices, which life presents them. Making such a choice is challenging. They live in a society that promotes competition, independence and a seeking after empty pleasures of life. They experience a lack of moral or spiritual support in an environment where peer pressure is great; they face doubts and uncertainties even within the Church. In this seemingly hopeless situation however, they feel compelled to search for meaning in life, knowing that God is there in spite of all that would prevent them from believing it.
