RETURN TO THE MISSION: A Heart Filled World of Exchange was the theme chosen for the 40th Anniversary of the Franciscan Federation which was held in San Diego, California.



Over three hundred and eighty six Franciscan women and men from Franciscan Communities in the USA were present for this weeklong gathering.

One of the events during this gathering was the peacemaker award for a designated member of each Franciscan Community. Rosemarie Higgins fmm was selected by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary in the USA for this award.
