Calling of the Candidate: Mary: Responding to a call of God in her life, Phi Uông wishes to offer herself to God forever through perpetual profession. I now invite Phi to come forward and make her request for perpetual profession. Phi: With the help of God I have come to know in the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary the difficulty and joy of a life completely dedicated to God. Sr. Mary, I now ask to be allowed to make perpetual profession in the community of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary for the glory of God and the service of the Church. Mary: Are you resolved, with the help of God, to undertake that life of perfect chastity, obedience and poverty chosen for itself by Christ our Lord and his Virgin Mother, and to persevere in it forever? Phi: I am. Mary: Are you resolved to strive steadfastly for perfection in the love of God and of your neighbor by living the Gospel with all your heart and keeping the Constitutions of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary? Phi: I am. Mary: Are you resolved, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to spend your whole life in the generous service of God's people? Phi: I am. Mary: May God who has begun the work in you bring it to fulfillment before the day of Christ Jesus.

In the presence of Sister Mary Motte, provincial superior, I make my profession. Following Christ, in the Spirit, I Sister Phi Uông give myself unreservedly to the Father after the example of Mary and Francis. I offer my life for the Church and the salvation of the world. I dedicate myself to Eucharistic adoration and to the evangelization of peoples, and I commit myself to live a communal life. I make vows of poverty, obedience and chastity for ever, in accordance with the Constitutions of the Institute of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary. I ask the grace to be faithful until death.

Father, we earnestly pray to you: send the fire of the Holy Spirit Into the heart of your daughter to keep alive within her the holy desire you have given her. Lord, may the glory of baptism and holiness of life shine in her heart. Strengthened by the vows of her consecration, may she be always one with you in loving fidelity of Christ, her only Bridegroom. May she cherish the Church as her mother and love the whole world as God's creation, teaching all people to look forward in joy and hope to the good things of heaven.
