
To help celebrate Older Americans Month, Corinne Calise Russo, Director of the RI Department of Elderly Affairs, paid a visit to Fruit Hill Day Center for Elderly. The occasion was a Mothers Day Tea that was held at the Center for participants in the program.
The program is designed to meet the needs of functionally impaired seniors through an individual plan of care. It helps seniors remain as active as possible while providing them the opportunity for socialization with their peers. Participants made all the table decorations and helped to do much of the baking in preparation for the tea.
